At the university of Würzburg, the Study Programme Bachelor Biology covers many topics in in the biosciences. For students focusing on aspects of infectious diseases, the master programme "Molecular Infection Biology" is offered in cooperation with the University of Toulouse. The programme is accomplished with a double degree.
The international Focus Master Life Science (English) offers the possibility to start directly with a doctorate in graduate school as early as after one year in the Master Study Programme. An application can be put in until March 15.
The main areas of the Biosciences in Würzburg are
microbiology, cell and developmental biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, neurobiology and genetics, ecology and tropical biology, behavioral biology and sociobiology, ecophysiology and vegetation ecology, biochemistry and pharmaceutical biology.
There are additional possibilities in biomedical areas (immunology, virology, human genetics, physiology, developmental biochemistry, tumor biology, clinical biochemistry), in psychology (biopsychology) and in biophysics.
